Job Spec

Event Fuel are seeking an experienced Account Manager for a permanent position with an immediate start. As an Account Manager (Events), you will organise corporate parties, brand activations, small festivals and outdoor events.

You will work closely with the Senior Account Manager and support the whole event process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and involves working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

As an Account Manager, you will need to:

  • To fully understand client briefs and requirements
  • To develop strong client relationships within the client base
  • Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements
  • Produce detailed proposals for events (including CPA’s, resources, venues, suppliers, staffing and budgets)
  • Research venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
  • Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  • Manage a team of staff, giving full briefings
  • Organise event infrastructure and facilities
  • Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
  • Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
  • Research opportunities for new clients and events.
  • Pitching and giving presentations to clients.
  • Understand the creative process and the client brand (agency account manager)
  • To deliver the best branded solutions to the client and market (agency account manager)

Salary

Salary will be dependant on previous experience.

Working hours

The successful applicant will generally work normal office hours (9am to 5.30pm Mon- Thurs and 9am – 5pm on Fridays) in the lead up to an event, but may need to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, closer to the event.

The work is largely office based, you’ll need to travel to visit clients, partners, venues and other suppliers. You may need to work outside to plan and deliver the event, e.g. an outdoors concert or festival.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Event Management Role
  • Top level client services and communication
  • Third-level qualification is ideal. Focus areas include  Event Management, Tourism and Hospitality, Marketing, Communications or similar.
  • Full Irish drivers licence is essential
  • Agency experience essential

  • Coordinate suppliers and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
  • Manage a team of promotional staff and write briefs
  • On-site event management and support
  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
  • Research opportunities for new clients and events.
